Happy Lunar New Year! I designed this lucky red envelope for Chinese New Year, which is the year of the dragon in 2012.
It's a tradition to hand out lucky red envelopes for Lunar New Year. Why, I have no clue. Why the envelopes are considered lucky, I also have no clue. What I do know is that it's a good thing I was thinking ahead with these envelopes - my mom always forgets to go out and buy them in time for new year's. She was overjoyed that my design saved her the stress of navigating through the chinese shops that sell them. Thereafter she managed to choke out a couple praises about the actual design.
